I'm surprised you, someone who posts so strongly, just learned this. Its been brought up numerous times here that Sander's Russian honeymoon will used against him.
Maybe the critiques you've gotten for being at times non responsive are unfair. It could just be your lack of attention.

ETA: Sunset Blvd. was the other. Don't know why he picked that one. It was not a Best Picture winner. Maybe it was self-referential and he identified with Norma Desmond.

Given the scathing international reaction to his commentary, not to mention the blazing satirical cartoons and clips - and I’m still talking about internationally generated, not domestic - you’d think your head of State would act more like a grown-up... pulled down the prestige of a domestic industry & award; boosted sales of a competitor’s product (well, that’s what he’s complaining about); possibly diminished demand for some of your domestic products as a result in protest; stirred up more trouble with the Koreas and China through the scoffing...

He screws up trade so that the farmers are hurting. The result is they need additional Federal farm subsidies. Subsidies coming primarily from blue states.
And yet, farmers will likely vote to reelect him realizing that their lucrative subsidy bandwagon may end if the Democrats take over.

How do you spell chutzpah? The California governor and state legislators just might have to choke a little when they seek assistance to get out of the hole they helped dig. Speaking of state legislators, the first one who needs to go is Nancy Pelosi. She should have stayed home for more than a weekend or two, and gone for a long walk in San Francisco to see what is happening in her home state.

I don't think too many conservatives are YIMBYs and, to their discredit, a great many liberals are quite conservative when it comes to housing issues.

I started that one, but realized it is pointless. There are so few YIMBYs and so many who even get offended when even suggesting that SUVs are awful, even here, that I didn’t want to waste the energy.

I loved House of Cards, Homeland, Designated Survivor, etc etc, along with many similarly themed series from Europe. It got me wondering if we are being preconditioned toward seeing nefarious political intrigue as almost the norm in governments, with subsequent mistrust of government thinking instinctively on high alert.The bogeyman is everywhere.
