Trump will also force the release of cures for cancer and Alzheimer’s that are currently being withheld by the pharmaceutical industry.
If that's true it is an excellent reason not to vote for Bob Hugin.
Christians were also convinced that God chose GW Bush. So apparently Republican presidents are chosen by God.
if you believe your president was chosen by God, it relieves the responsibility for critical assessment of that president’s actions, since they are part of a mysterious divine plan.
Very convenient (and hard to fight).
And I thought these holier-than-thou types were hypocrites before Trump.

That has to be true. When he was inaugurated, I said to myself, "Dear God......"
God has been known to punish His children. And while I can accept that God hath visited Trump upon us, we do not know His purpose.

apparently God wants to further punish people from shithole countries.

Further to your puerile logic, I know a few Christians who didn't vote for Bush so that makes them devil worshipers.
Here is pictorial proof that Trump is the anointed one. And Loving too, as witnessed by a follower:
And love, Allen explains, underpins the presidency of Donald Trump and explains why she supports him despite his three marriages, adulterous affairs and frequent insult-laden diatribes.
“When he got out of New York, he fell in love with the people. That’s why he holds these rallies. He’s the people’s president. He loves the country and he loves the American people who work hard and have been overlooked for years. The insiders in Washington forgot about us.”
The picture of our anointed leader:

What do these people think he has done for them?

They think it's their taxes he has lowered, and keeping out immigrants will give them more job opportunities.

Our multiple personality God.
The Wrath and Punishment of the Old Testament. Redemption and Forgiveness of the New Testament.
Is the "Old" one is ascendant?
Isn't getting Trump punishment enough? Do we really need more?

you seem triggered, because that doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
But to get back on topic, there have indeed been many prominent Christians who have made the claim that our last two Republican presidents were divinely chosen (Bush himself seemed to imply this when he talked about how God directed him to invade Iraq). I'm not aware of any prominent Christians claiming that recent Democratic presidents were chosen by God. Is that perhaps because their God cares only about opposition to abortion, or is it something else?

Handed over the Supreme Court to pro-life justices.
The glue that holds together the Republican Party is white male victimhood, pro-gun and pro-life. Other than that, the Republican Party stands for nothing. There was a time when I could except the fiscal responsibility and smaller government argument but the Trump tax cuts for the rich kind of throws that argument out the window.

Their "God" is the Golden Calf.

I do not see the people at his rallies as the "Pro-Life" crowd. Look at the quote "people who work hard and have been overlooked".

You're leaving out all of the rest who aren't in the "our President was chosen by God" business. You're not going to see a headline saying "Rev. So-and-so is agnostic on the issue of whether God chose Donald Trump."
As an antidote to reading about the "God Chose Trump" people, you could read this -
10 Signs You’re Actually Following TRUMPianity Instead of Christianity
Here's a few, you should read the whole thing -
10. You spent 8 years criticizing every move of Obama, but the minute Trump was sworn in you started telling everyone that “Christians should respect the president” and that being “divisive” is a sin.
Remember the you of two years ago? That’s okay, because I do– and you certainly didn’t seem to believe that Christians should “respect the president” or that being politically divisive was any sort of sin.
Here I am recalling you taught me that, “sin is always sin” and doesn’t change just because culture changes. Huh!
2. You claimed Barack Obama’s election was the result of evil forces, but the minute Trump was sworn into office you started quoting verses about how “God picks a nation’s kings and queens.”
For real, how does this work? Did God only get involved and start deciding elections with the past election cycle, or did you just start quoting this verse after the black guy left?
There’s a lot in this world I don’t know, but I do happen to know the answer to *that* one. Easy!

I didn't mean to imply all Christians believe that. It's a small subset of course. But it's astounding that anyone who claims to be Christian believes Donald Trump was chosen for anything other than a prison jumpsuit.
Strictly speaking, wouldn't a true Christian not claim to know the intentions of God and, instead, live life according to the teachings of Jesus and hope that they were on the same side as God?
Without meaning to be rude (and honestly, I’m not but from the outside some recent developments are quite alarming), weren’t such messianic films produced for totalitarian regimes? I mean, it’s not a practice that most modern democratic cultures would see, unless the product was dripping with satire.
Not even the respectful documentaries about western monarchies proclaim them to be rulers by Divine Right.
