Trump tests positive for Covid 19

The faking it theory is ridiculous. It's the left equivalent of QAnon.

I don't think it's fake for reasons I posted earlier.  But this is what happens when people lie all the time.  There's no reason to believe anything they say.  Frankly I don't believe Trump has COVID because he and the White House SAY he does.  I believe it because I don't think he would cancel his beloved rallies if he didn't really have the virus.

then there's this.  What a truly evil bunch of people they are:

Thoughts, prayers and bleach for the President.

I would be shocked of there was a coordinated  contact tracing effort by this administration.

A journalist has tested positive for the virus. He was at the White House event last Saturday.

Shockingly selfish, at minimum. He also went to his NJ fundraiser knowing Hicks had tested positive. In fact, if Bloomberg news had not broken the story that Hicks had tested positive, it's a real question as to if Trump would have told us he had.

Trump may have thrown one of those "super spreader events" last weekend in the Rose Garden.

 evil. evil. evil.

How hard is it to text someone on the Biden campaign to give them a heads up?

Trump family members were in the audience Tuesday evening and were asked to wear masks. They refused to do so.

I don’t think he’s faking it.  I do think he will use it for all it is worth to distract people from all the legitimate talking points of this election.

 Whole thread summed up here.

If the super spreader was at the WH's SCOTUS event last Saturday, then all of team trump were sitting without masks for 2 hours in a room where also Biden and his team sat. At a time where they were highly contagious.

We should pray for Biden and his team, not for trump and his band of criminals.

On Fox News, of all places:

"President Trump's party at the presidential debate on Tuesday refused to wear masks despite a requirement by the venue that they do so, and they turned down a Cleveland Clinic staffer who offered them face coverings.

The refusal by those with Trump, including first lady Melania Trump, to wear masks during the debate was noted at the time. But it has drawn new concern Friday morning after the president, the first lady and top White House adviser Hope Hicks all were revealed to have tested positive for the coronavirus overnight Thursday into Friday. The venue had only made exceptions to its mask rule for Trump, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and moderator Chris Wallace.

"In terms of what went on the hall, it was curious. The Biden camp, Mrs. Biden, Sen. Chris Coons of Deleware, all their people, all came in wearing masks and wore them throughout the entire debate," Wallace said Friday. "The Trump family came in, I'm told, wearing masks but then took them off once they sat down in their seats. That actually violated the rules of the Cleveland Clinic, which was in charge of all the safety issues inside the hall."

The sight of all of them sitting there without masks in the video that I linked to above is infuriating. They're as bad as Trump - all of them.

Dr. Scott Gottlieb is on  CNBC reporting that Trump is receiving a Regeneron antibody cocktail. He thought that Trump would get Remdesivir.

Shepard Smith is now on CNBC and he and Eamon Javers  agree that it is very unusual that Trump is not tweeting.

It's now being reported that Trump has a low grade fever.

I'll sign off for now but there is a very good discussion with Dr. Scott Gottlieb on CNBC.

Regeneron just released some preliminary results for the treatment you mentioned. It's not FDA approved yet but it shows promise. They're supposed to test 1000 patients but the data they've released on the first 270 or so.

That will be an interesting stock to watch if and when he recovers. It would be stupid to make assumptions based on one patient, though.

I'm not reading anything into the lack of tweeting at this point. Maybe they have to infuse in both arms or something. Maybe he's sleeping.

His doctors say that he is fatigued.

I'll tell you one thing. If we don't see Trump in public for a week or so, with this bunch of liars I'm not going to believe he's still alive until I see a video of him holding up that day's Washington Post

The smarties thought they knew better. This from the Honorable Sec of Health and Human Services:

Alex M. Azar II, the secretary of health and human services, defended members of President Trump’s family on Friday for refusing to wear masks at the recent presidential debate despite a requirement that the audience do so. The first family and the president are “in a different situation than the rest of us,” Mr. Azar said, because they are in a protective bubble.

Yeah, a bubble for them. Whereas, their rally cult members are fed the its mostly a fake fantasy. No need for a mask, crowd together, yell a lot, be happy, all is well.

We have a Kakistocracy leading our country.

I wouldn't believe it was Trump if it was the Washington Post. Either the Washington Times or NY Post yes.

The trial seems to he showing the most benefit to people who are not yet seriously ill, or who haven't had their own immune response yet.

If it's shown to be safe, but not proven effective, there's no harm in trying. I suppose they will throw everything they can at this, as long as it's not a risk. I do wonder if he'll insist on hydroxychloroquine given the potential for cardiac arrhythmia.

He’s at Walter Reed hospital.

You are all a cynical, skeptical bunch.

I love you. big surprise

Reasonable move. He's infectious, plus things can go south with the virus pretty fast. Probably took all day to convince him to make the move.

Apparently it was the other way around, he freaked out and started to panic.

How does he have the cajones to claim "protective bubble" when two of them (Hicks and Melania) got infected? Some bubble.

I assume that they wanted him there while he could walk in and out of Marine One without assistance.

If we’re going to traffic in his lies and add on some conspiracy theories...

He is too sick to complete the run to election. Pence is sworn in and nominated. Loses but pardons the “sick” ex-President for any crimes in office during the transition. After all, he’s sick, and an “American Hero”...

Avoids prison and crushing the fragile ego. Avoids hurting Pence because nobody could have expected him to win. Hopefully avoids violence.

I’d almost sign up for it, as long as the Dems win the Senate too.

My sense is that in knowing Trump likes to be the expert on all things is that he has had the illness for a longer period than he is letting on, imagining that his superior genes and brand name could protect him.  This is why he has progressed so quickly from positive test to feeling a little bad to hospitalization for an experimental treatment only shown to be effective on people half his age (in a study of 275 people).  To me that spells out an ominous prognosis for someone in his age group.

My question is: is he dictating to Walter Reed doctors what treatment he wants?   He does seem that daft.
