So...who watched Mad Men?

My biggest shock reaction was towards Cooper. Who knew that the take-off-your-shoes, pseudo-Zen master was a closeted racist? Maybe racist is too strong, but certainly I wouldn't have thought he wouldn't want the lovely Dawn at the front desk because people could "see her from the elevator." WTF?

This not the first time Bert has made racist remarks -- it's happened many times in past seasons.

@weirdbeard - I don't recall any of them. Maybe they passed me because they weren't overt. This one was overt.

Peggy is kind of the worst. I honestly have never been a fan and I really hated her in this episode. I found the office shuffle very interesting though - I'm excited to see where Dawn's promotion leads!

I really liked Don's honesty with Sally in this episode (eventually). "Nothing you don't know" showed a bit of a new bond between them... she has seen ugly and vulnerable sides to him, some by accident and some intentionally on his part.

They're holding Betty in the wings for quite a while... I wonder what we're in for when we see her!

Can't wait to see Betty!

"Nothing you don't know" had many too choices and he left it to Sally to choose. Did he get caught screwing a secretary in the office? Was he drunk? Did he verbally assault someone? Too many choices leaving her, IMO, to think all of them occurred.

@kibbegirl, I may be misremembering, but I thought he said something like "I showed them who I was" or "I was honest about myself." That led me to believe he meant more about his inner character/past history rather than a specific behavior but I could be wrong.

You remembered correctly and that was my takeaway as well.

Sally is so compelling to watch. Loved seeing her go from a little girl to a young woman. She's beautiful.

Um, what happened to Bobby? Did Betty lock him in a dark, dank room until he can join the service or get a job?

Bobby....what about Betty? Where the hell is she.

What happened to Bobby: http://www.vulture.com/2012/03/look-back-at-mad-mens-many-bobby-drapers.html

Bobby is the Chuck Cunningham of our generation.

LMAO! Sans the basketball.

How can a partner report to an employee?

They can't! LOL! Don will drink in the office. He will go off the rails. He will not report to Lou - and they all know it.

Who will go down in mental flames first? Lou or Peggy?

Here's the thing ... We couldn't have gotten here one episode earlier?

Speaking of going off the rails ... What's gonna happen to Megan?

This I agree with.

What was Don mulling over during the breath-taking pause between offer and "ok"?

One of the best lines ... "Don is a genius" ...

Don realizes that once he's (back) 'in' he can (re)conquer the world. I've been in an eerily similar situation in the past...

"I wish it was yesterday." Bobby just broke my heart!!

I wish I could write an episode for the series and kill off most of the characters in a horrific Oscar Meyer Hotdog truck accident.

To me, it looked to me like a critical turning point, the moment where he abandoned whatever hopes and dreams and authority and ambition he still had. He's been an impostor all along, and this humiliation was the result (he's thinking). I hope I'm wrong. But this is the final season.

He was picking a window to jump from.

Did anyone catch Betty's lunch friend refer to her as "Betty Draper"? Betty did not correct her.

Seemed like he realized that everything is falling apart, and contingent on him coming back to work- he just told Megan things would be okay now, after all. And sitting there all day made him realize his position and stature have shifted.

I really liked Roger going to bat for him- he actually sounded like a legit businessman for once.

Peggy is truly loathsome. Ugh.

Don realized that he had "won" when he saw Lou skulk back into his office ... Love that they're giving him Laine's old office (Buried in a dead man's office?) ... Tell tale stuff ... Roger & Don on one side of the table versus the rest ... Cutler telling Roger last week, "I don't want us to be adversaries" ... They are.

It's gonna get interesting.

People are still bent out of shape about what "Don did to Ted" ... Jeez, get over it.

My bet: Don wins in the end. Not sure what winning looks like, but he'll win.

I also think Don was calling their bluff. . . I think they were expecting him to say "No, I can't do that" instead of "OK."

Also. . . why was Joan being harsh to Don? (Am i forgetting something?)

So Soul29 called Bobby the Chuck Cunningham of Mad Men and thus, the last epi was all Bobby.

Peggy and Joan were so mean to Don.

Peggy was outright rude. Joan seemed to be taking a more pragmatic business approach, which I really liked. We know she cares for Don personally and they've always had a good relationship, so I really think she's looking at this from the agency perspective.
