Stephen Cohen died last year, otherwise he would be writing in The Nation about how the U.S. is facing the most dangerous moment in U.S./Russian  relations since the Cuban missile crisis. 

eta - Cohen pulled that out everytime the U.S. said boo to Russia. 

Maddow was pretty good tonight.  Especially in regards to the report that clearly stated that Russia was interfering much more then China, yet T****'s cohorts were strongly pushing the China/Iran narrative.  And they HAD this report when they were spreading their disinformation campaign.

What can be done in future when government officials knowingly mislead the public based on evidence they said they saw.  Lies get exposed only after info gets declassified.

 Recent events had me thinking that perhaps Trump's strong antipathy toward China as contrasted by his embrace of Putin may have had a racial component.

 There's a really old (late 80s) interview with Trump on Larry King where he says exactly the same stuff as he does about China in 2016, but it's all Japan instead.
