Never understood how those with histories of discrimination turn around and discriminate against others either overtly or in sentiment. Is it a weird pecking order thing?
Here's a link to a petition demanding an apology from the organizers of the march

This (ironically headlined) Times op-ed offers a perspective on that:
Can one demonstrate pride in being Jewish by participating in a Parade on Shabbat?

From the linked article: "Social media has created a platform for people who don’t care about nuance."
Amen, brothers and sisters. Let us all take heed.

So even in that small community different Rabbis have different opinions. No surprise!

Has The Jewish Journal ever heard of something called "aspect ratio"?
Is that an anti Semitic comment?
At this time, it appears that the organizers of this event, and likely other events, need a lesson in 'Intersectionality'.
The Trump presidency has encouraged new Muslim-Jewish alliances to develop in the US. So, for the next event, have twin flags, one with a star and crescent, one with a star of David, marching side-by-side.
Then the young'uns organizing these events can learn how progress is really made: Through discussion and understanding of commonalities of threats and propaganda against many different groups, in history and in the present.
To be be unified is to be stronger against these threats to our brothers and sisters. Then more of the persecuted can feel, and perhaps actually be, safe.
Chicago Dyke March Collective Revels in 'Zio Tears' in Twitter Rant
The term 'Zio,' favored by white supremacists, was used to celebrate the demotion of the journalist who reported the removal of three marchers with Jewish Gay Pride flag in June

Well, finally we know the truth that all lesbians hate Jews.
Not even close Lost. Do not attempt to deflect from this ugliness. It diminishes you.
You are absolutely wrong. The "Dyke March" is a fringe group with no power and little relevance. When an elected governing body, even a Town Council, acts to make Christianity the official religion it is a small step to define being an "American" to require being a Christian and a small step to stigmatizing non-Christians as "foreign". That has been the foundation of Anti-Semitism since the beginning of the Diaspora and has led to the marginalization of Jews and the expulsion of Jews from may countries.
It is wrong to think that the establishment of the State of Israel changed all that. I do not live in Israel. I am an American. I am far more threatened by those in America who believe I do not belong in America than by those in America who don't think Israel should exist, especially when , as I have written, the latter are a lunatic extreme fringe group and the former have won election.
They are a lot less fringe than, say, David Duke and get a lot more people to attend there events. And seem to have enough power to get reporters demoted. Something I can never see David Duke doing.
The Chicago Dyke March is NOT the Chicago Pride Parade. The poster seems to be conflating the two, with the claim that it gets "a lot more people to attend there (sic) events".

Well then you could share your insight about the Chicago Dyke March, and how they "get a lot more people to attend there (sic) events", including number (as in, other than the one event reported in the news) and size.
David Duke gets like two people. The picture from the event showed a lot of people.
Why can you not just condemn anti Semitism. Oh right it comes from your side.
I have this response from June 26 on this thread, to your baseless claim.

I suppose there are some homophobes out there who would love to try to get some progressives to back away from gay rights activists, and that's pretty sleazy if they are doing that.
Excuses and deflections. Always excuses and deflections.

Correct.
Also, the real anti-semitism is the far right wing, groups like Stormfront. They exist in pretty large number, have many web sites due to their numerous groups and are not shy at all about what they think of Jews and what they'd like to do to them. Just go to their web sites. Also, all strong Trump supporters.
Another group I personally consider to be anti-semitic are Evangelicals. They talk of their love of Jews and of Israel. However, their "love" of Jews is based on the belief that Jews will be converted to worship the Christian messiah. Most of them believe unconverted Jews are bound to go straight to hell. How can the belief that Jews who do not worship Christ will go to hell not be considered a form of anti-semitism? We love you but sadly you're hell bound.
Just revisiting. Obviously, David Duke gets more than "like two people". And his gang carries guns and uses a car to kill people.
