If you finish each post with 2 periods, it will post the first one. Same with question marks and exclamation points, BTW.
Whatever is the final character is dropped (or was ... Jamie's working on it now.
I never experience the final missing period because I type two spaces to make a period and the second space makes the period display correctly. I do always lose my question marks, though.

You do
I have to revisit the issue with wendy and particleman. As for the Iphone/Ipad issue - we pinned down where and when the issue occurs - for the most part it appears to have appeared after a recent OS upgrade. So at the moment, I blame Apple, perhaps their next upgrade will straighten things out. In the meantime I will look for alternate solutions.

Was the last OS upgrade made before we switched to Worldwebs? Because we've been having this issue since day one.
Well, I can only go by my experience - didn't have the issue 8_3 - upgraded to 8_4_1 - and am having the issues. I'll have to try and see what and when the different OS upgrades have occurred. Just weird.
Yes, I have had the problem since the switch to the new board (or as soon thereafter as I was able to post at all from my phone ... I don't recall if that was immediate, but it wasn't long.)
ETA - and I'm usually fairly prompt about updating my iOS - within a week at most unless there are reported issues or I'm traveling and can't hook up to my computer in a WiFi area (but that didn't happen during that period.)
Does the character deletion still happen if you turn off keyboard shortcuts on your phone/ipad? Settings > General > Keyboard > Shortcuts
I can't turn off shortcut on ipad but did turn off the "." short - no effecy

Are you still experiencing this issue? Can you test the result in this page:

I'll test today, but yes, it was still the case as of last night.
ETA: seems okay in test environment. All punctuation remains intact
Yes, I still experience that problem (iPhone 6, iOS 9.0.2), but I didn't see it on the test page.
(This sentence is parenthesized on both ends.
I'm on my iPad2 with latest iOS. Still experiencing last character lop-off (so I routinely end with a new line).
I went to the test page linked above and clicked submit. Nothing appeared to happen to the prepared text. But I couldn't see where I could edit or write anything. So I'll submit this straight, with a full-stop at end, no space
Just posted with iPhone iOS 9, and got 2 question marks. Did you implement a fix
No fix yet - just seeing if this was getting better results then the forum: http://www.maplewoodonline.com/redactor4/

It seems to be the last character, whatever it is. It's happened to me with parentheses too
