Is The Settings Button New?

Yes. The Search "button" is to the left of the Messages and your name when you're on the Home/Forums, etc. screen. I can't figure out how to do a screen shot on this computer or use the snipping tool.

Will we revert to regular time soon. Too tedious to have to figure the difference. Not complaining, mind you.

It looks like if the browser window is below a certain size then these buttons...

Collapse into a gear with those icons below it.

This is a common way of making a single page work for both mobile and desktop versions.  If your viewing area is smaller than the width that they use as the threshold then you'll get the gear (and a few other changes that are done for the mobile design like the Search option gets collapsed into a 'three lines' menu.)

Well.. When I wrote that message, the images we inline in the document at the appropriate spots.  So just imagine that they're in the place that makes the most sense!

 Are you referring to the "military time" on our posts?

That info about smaller screens is really helpful! I turned my iPad to vertical and Lo! The gear appeared! so I turned ithe iPad around again and it disappeared.

Mystery resolved!

Thank you qrysdonnell  I think you have solved the mystery.  I am using a full size monitor but began noticing the settings button when I increased the zoom to read the text more easily.  When I reduce the zoom to 100%, the settings box disappears.
