I thought it was a charcuterie.
Count me out. I'll be lunching the grill.
We need to add a few "Ye Olde" and "Shoppe" to the names.
At least their name gives an idea of what type of business they are... Don't get me started (again) on The Red Carpet Boutique and HLS.

We have that covered with Dickens Village. Although this year, we run the risk of some not being happy with the design of the buildings in Dickens Village and trying to sue the town (#ohnowhatthedickens) who will be joined by another group that feels Dickens is archaic and doesn't represent their belief systems. Stay tuned.

Thanks, Lanky. That looks interesting and a unique addition to the Village. I look forward to trying it out.
Brats!!!!
As a Chiago-area native this is welcome news!
If they add a Chicago style Italian Beef served dipped with peppers, I might simultaneously have a religious, culinary, and sexual experience!
I am probably over indulging in nostalgia. It sounds like they intend to make a great restaurant focused on great fresh food and not a geographically focused eatery. This will be wonderful.
But if it happens to include a Chicago style Italian Beef.......
What was in the VB space before Wok Star?
Totally blanking.
This has been driving me crazy all night!!!
This will either be a major comfort food home run appealing both to townies and foodie instagrammers/bloggers from NJ spots unknown OR dude will massively turf out on execution and get shamed publicly. No in between here.
If he can get up to Arturo's/Coda/Abril Cocina/Lorena's level in under a year that is kind of mental the quality the Ave is delivering.

Wasn't it that children's shoe store?
Yes! Thank you!!! Wow, I could not come up with that!
BTW, we're thinking of changing our website name to The Village Greenery (Greenerie?).

that could make some ornery.
and as much as the word "eatery" is to me what "moist" is to many out there, I think this place has a lot of promise so I not only wish them well as I said earlier in this thread, but will give them a try...Im just not likely to ever wear any of their swag.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) for this thread, you are correct. I noticed that yesterday and took a photo
