Just got back from Zion. Two observations/suggestions.
1. Zion is as awe inspiring,enjoyable, and challenging as any of the western parks. It's not an "only if you have time" destination.
2. The secret is out. Had, or overheard, several conversations to the effect that its a true nightmare of crowding in the summer. Now is the time to go there or any of the southwestern parks. I'm not sure why anyone would want to go there in the summer anyway because it could be brutally hot. It got up into the 60s every day we were there.
