Friends did a great version of Christmastime Is Here that gives it more swing without (IMHO) violating the spirit of the original: https://analogplayerssociety.bandcamp.com/track/christmas-time-is-here-steppers-version
I also love Sharon Jones's new holiday album: http://www.npr.org/2015/12/13/458829436/first-listen-sharon-jones-the-dap-kings-its-a-holiday-soul-party
But at the end of the day, I go back to my choirgirl roots--my all-time favorite is the ever-so-British Lo How A Rose E'er Blooming.

Glad to see the thread's still going, even though it's actually Boxing Day.
Totally agree on The Waitresses. It's a Christmas story everyone can enjoy. But cuethesun, part of the joke is the actual title is "Chrtistmas Wrapping". Songwriter Chris Butler explained it was inspired by Kurtis Blow's "Christmas Rappin'", meant to form a double pun.

Also can never hear anything from A Charlie Brown Christmas too often. Not much of jazz fan, but one of the best TV soundtracks and cool jazz albums ever.
So here's one of my favorites...
