Easter Egg Hunt @Orchard Park Bunnies - thank you !!

In 4 days !!

My almost six year old is very good with younger kids and isn't the type to steal eggs from underneath younger children. That is actually the reason we no longer go to the town run egg hunt, too large and hectic. When my son was a few years younger we went and even with the head start for the younger kids they still had the kids too close together time wise. He would be reaching down to pick up an egg and some older kid would swoop in and snatch it right out from under him. It was heartbreaking to watch. I understand that the kids get excited, but they should still be able to respect the feelings of younger or slower children.

I'm planning to be there with my 20 month old, 3 y/o and 5 year old, all of whom are so excited. thanks for organizing, and fingers crossed for good weather!!

We always bring extra eggs as there are usually children playing there who didn't know about the egg hunt and who want to join in. Bringing a few extra helps ensure that all the kids can get eggs.

good point !! I forgot about the other kids that are already at the park (usually with nannies) and they wish to participate, which they do. Thank you for bringing this up.


NOTE; if parents who are attending this Easter Egg hunt if possible please bring an extra egg or 2 for those kids who are already at the park and did not know about this event.

the littles ones are the cuttest picking up there eggs. When my youngest was 1 1/2 she would pick the eggs and throw them behind her. hahahahaha!! now she is 2 1/2 she learn her lesson to put them in her basket :-D

@HarleyQuinn - I'm going to count it as a minor miracle if the 20 month old doesn't throw the eggs at his sisters.

If adults bring a dozen or so stuffed eggs per child and possibly a few more for unknowing children already in the playground there should be plenty...provided you stop at the amount of eggs you bring Have lots of fun! Wish I were able to be there but I can't Other commitments.... Sighhhh

We stuffed ours tonight and my daughter is very excited. Deals has 18 packs for $1.

This is an event that seems worth invading nap time for! We'll be there with our two year old and will probably rope in another of her friends as well.

Good news it seems it wont rain tomorrow, bad news it wont be sunny.

Either way looking forward to see everyone. I will be attending a bit earlier in case the little ones would like there faces painted as Bunnies before the egg hunt

After filling the eggs we still had candy left over. Too much. Way too much. So we bought more eggs to fill. We will be arriving with over 80 eggs.

We still have candy left over. I will be sending it to my husband's work on Monday.

Note to self: Don't buy Easter candy at Costco.
