crashing to the ground just outside the basketball stadium early in the

While that's the term they use, from the videos available online it looks like whitewater kayaking.

I'm surprised indeed. One would think that there was only swimming, gymnastics, volleyball, and running. I heard a rumor that there's archery! and sailing! and boxing! and badminton! and something called canoe sprint! and equestrian! and handball! and trampoline! and more! 

I also have heard (but can't believe it's so) that countries other than the USA, Germany, France, Brazil, Canada, Japan and China are competing! I cannot believe that. Who are these other countries? I've never heard of them!

I guess the network has decided that the viewing public is simple-minded and only wants "Top 40."

No, I'm not dead yet. That's kind of funny though that MOLer's were checking photos.  

Actually returned from Rio on Sunday after nine days. Our women's team successfully defended gold in rowing for their third Olympics and eleventh year overall. Our training center and national offices for the sport are here in Princeton, NJ 

We are one of those other sports...although to be fair, the women and the sport received much more coverage than we typically do
