Window Screen / Screen Door repair (Tri County Screen)

Last summer my Irish Setter tore a big hole in the screen door that leads to the backyard.  I tried to repair it myself but Anderson screen doors have a odd flat type of spline, that is very difficult to put back in.  I also tried using a pet resistant screen and it would not fit (I couldn't get the original back in either), I figured I had the wrong tools.

I Googled for a place to take the screen to and found Tri-County Screen repair, who would come out to your house and fix the screen right then and there. Tri-County came out exactly when they said they would, saw the Anderson screen door and stated right away that it wasn't possible to put in a pet resistant screen due to the thickness of the screen.  The price for the pet resistant screen was $80 and John re-quoted the job and dropped the price to $50 for the regular screen install.  Twenty minutes later, I had my new screen.  I recommend Tri-County (http://www.tricountyscreenrepair.com/) if you need any of your screens repaired or a new one built for you.

Thanks for sharing your experience.  I just sent them an email asking if they also repair/re-screen porches.
