There are also rumors that Comey once drove 52 mph in a 50 mph zone.

James Comey is 6 feet, 8 inches !!

Donald would argue that the extra inch matters.

I'm sure Comey will be demonized as a "bigger" target considering how many âsses pollute our nation.

Meanwhile, Trump repeatedly claimed, including to Comey that he did NOT stay overnight in Moscow. However, Bloomberg news found Trump lied. Which is no surprise.

President Trump has repeatedly claimed that he didn't stay overnight in Moscow during his highly-publicized trip to the Russian capital in 2013 — but flight records reveal that those claims are likely false.

Trump insisted over dinner with ex-FBI Director James Comey last January that a scandalous claim about him engaging with prostitutes in a Moscow hotel suite couldn't be true because he didn't stay overnight when he went there for the Miss Universe pageant in November 2013.

But flight records unearthed by Bloomberg News on Monday show that Trump arrived in Moscow at 6:15 a.m. on Nov. 8, 2013 — and left 45 hours and 43 minutes later.

That doesn't count as lying to the FBI?

And now for something completely different. Remember Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson? The good doctor who performed Trumps physical ("excellent health", "incredible genes", "heart is in the excellent category", "more energy than just about anybody"). After his press conference there were even people who were wondering if the doctor himself was ok. Well, turns out he was drinking on the job. You really cannot make this stuff up anymore. Where do comedy and satire go from here?

And he's being hung out to dry by Trump. "If I were him...I wouldn’t do it..to be abused by a bunch of politicians.”

He should withdraw. It's not "abuse" but rather scrutiny, but why would he want it?

This is what happens when you don't vet candidates and you have an administration full of back-stabbing wanna-bes eager to leak on those they don't like.

It's kind of his own fault though, with this over-the-top press conference after trumps physical. I mean, I can understand why he didn't want to say that the Prez is an obese psychopath with attention deficit disorder, but he could have made it a little bit more real. Then Trump wouldn't have promoted him to begin with, and he could have just continued to write prescriptions and drink on the job and ride into the sunset.

It's a disastrous, repeated embarrassment. Other reports have surfaced about Dr. Jackson passed out cold drunk while on duty*; passing out prescription pills to staffers in need of sleep or pain relief, hence his nickname "Dr. Feelgood."  Even before these allegations, it was a poorly thought out appointment.  But it had it purposes: privatizing the VA.  I guess Dr. Jackson was going to be the wrecking ball.

*(Staffers looking for drugs rifled through the doc's things to find the pills they needed while he slept it off.)  I feel awful when I see Jackson in his uniform adorned with ribbons.

The Jackson thing seems kind of suspicious. I find it hard to believe that someone can remain in the position of the POTUS physician for so many years while being a drunk handing out drugs like candy.

It's not like the guy was some lower level flunkie working in a closet somewhere. He was the damn Presidential physician.

No, something smells pretty fishy here.

Nonsense. The man has been in his position for years, and in government for even a lot longer. As long as he doesn't do something outrageously bad or illegal he can easily stay in his position. He probably got a yearly performance review, but they aren't going to do a background check for every performance review.

VA Secretary is a cabinet level position, does require Senate confirmation, and therefore requires background checks and vetting, and then all this stuff comes out.

It's the same as for Flynn, Manafort, Trump, Kushner, Pruit, Price, Hannity, etc. They didn't all become crooks in the last year, they were like this all their lives. It's only now that the spotlight is on them that it is all starting to come out.

I cannot say I am sorry for Jackson though. This press conference about how incredibly healthy Trump was was completely delusional. Best case the man just cannot handle pressure. Worst case he just says what he thinks people want to hear. Neither of these are good properties for a physician.

I've got to believe that being the presidential physician isn't that tough of a job.  He or she is probably mainly a figurehead.  Even the annual physical is probably actually administered by a team of specialists.

I'm watching Rachel Maddow at the moment, and I withdraw my suspicions. The guy looks like a real bad actor, though I still find it hard to fathom that this guy managed to survive in the WH for so long - especially based on the stuff that Maddow is reporting, which is all brand new.

They might not have looked for it, but it was there. Maddow had reports dating back a few years. Someone had to have read those reports. And then someone had to decide to both not do something about them, and to make sure no one else did anything about them.

If half of what I heard tonight is true, someone should do an investigation of the health office over the past ten years.

You know, Jackson was the worst possible nominee to head the VA but, in terms of Trumpworld, he was kind of the perfect nominee.  Not only was he unqualified for the position to which he aspired he is also unfit for the position in which he currently serves. In a Crapocracy, being the worst makes you the best.

As an Admiral, will he be subject to some sort of military discipline for what appears to be gross dereliction of duty?

public stoning appears to be back in style, it seems.

I know this is not nice to say, but I'll say it:  Running the medical office for Presidents Bush II and Obama was probably pretty low-stress.  Both are apparently phenomenally healthy and in shape.  With Trump, on the other hand, having to follow wherever he goes (to Florida a lot) and be responsible if the keels over with a heart attack, that can be a little more stressful.

So I keep thinking of the Lloyd Bridges character in "Airplane".

He wasn't remotely qualified for the job and there was an IG report just sitting there with all sorts of tawdry facts and allegations.

 Been true for a while.

"Lock her up"

There are over 20 colleagues, mostly military, who reported Jackson's behavior. Considering the consequence, because they can be severe in the military, they aren't going to endanger their careers by making up lies against a senior officer.

You know who lies all the time? And who's shown to be a constant lier proven with real facts? Your hero. The one you bow and genuflect to.

And you know what your hero thinks of people like you? That you're idiots. Why else would he have said "I could shoot someone on 5th Ave" and I'll be Ok or " I can't believe I got away with this", referring to his refusal to release taxes. He's got your numbers down pat.

mtierney said:

the people "stoning" him are people in Trump's White House, as well as his military colleagues.  And the "stoning" appears to be nothing more than describing his behavior.

mtierney said:

 Benghazi!

If everything being said about Dr. Jackson is false and he is a great person he still does not have the qualifications to run the VA and that is what is truly sad.

mtierney said:

He was drunk in public but I hadn't heard about him getting stoned.  Do tell.
