Water Main break: plan on one soon

Plan on a Water Main break, dead center South Orange Avenue, in front of Kitchen al Mode or Bank of America!!!!

It has started and will fail fully soon.  Most likely during the Rush Hour drive to work.

That, or an artisan  well for the Gas Light Brewery has been installed.

The water has been flowing out a crack for 4 days now.

Have the Township DPW and water company been notified?

Ooh! I saw that the Avenue was wet this morning and was wondering what it was about.

4 days of water bubbling out of the middle of the road in the eppa center of the Village for 4 days; I would hope that they have seen it while out driving about.

But, that said, I just posted a SO Connect issue.  Just in case no one bothered to see it.

I should post a webcam to capture the first car that triggers the sink-hole collapse.

I'm thinking SO may have to go back to aqueducts.

Hard to believe that this went on for more than four days and nobody reported it.  What do the two Xs painted in the box mean?

The issue was reported on SOConnect 12 days ago. The status says "in progress."

"Water weeping from a crack in the pavement of the westbound lane of SO Avenue. Directly in front of Village Trat".

Someone else reported it seven hours ago.

Water company says that it's schedule for repair next Monday.  I suggested there might be a disaster if they waited that long.

That would be great if the Exxon station hadn't polluted them beyond redemption years ago...

Aqueducts and aquifers are not the same thing....

(edited to fix sloppy spelling)

Scheduled for Monday??  When, just at the start of the rush hour??

Make sure to thank the clowns on the BOT for creating a mess due to their lack of fiscal rectitude and dealings with the water company.  And make a special novena to the Village Attorney for his wonderful dealings with the East Orange WAter crumbums.

Festus, you can be a real fool sometimes.  Crumbling infrastructure is neither a new or unique problem. I don't like the EOWC, but if the crews are fixing other breaks, well that's the way it goes.

 They were actually artesian wells.

All the same, a Roman aqueduct running down from someplace in the Watchungs would be quite stunning.

how about one like this

You guys KNOW how people get here when discussing tall structures.  The last thing we need is 1,000 different aqueduct threads.

yes, not 1000.  but 1-3 would be cool

Is having one appropriate for a village?

Only if there is a PILOT to water down the cost.

Where are the lawn signs?

Haven't read all the comments but:

The town knows

Water Co Knows

They will be out on Monday the 18th, starting at 8am to fix (try to fix) the break.

There will be emergency no parking signs on Vose and on the Ave in the immediate area going up during the midnight hours (Sunday into Monday)

I will be posting this on the PD social media accounts as well as the town website.
