VOTE for which mandala you'd like to see constructed during the #MaplewoodMandalaProject

From Monday August 10 through Friday August 15, 2015, six Buddhist monks from the Drepung Loseling Monastery in Tibet will be in residence at the Woodland to create a piece of mandala sand art.

In an astounding feat of artistry and concentration, they will build a magnificent work of art out of colored sand, placing it one grain at a time into a large geometric pattern called a mandala. Each sand painting takes over 30 hours to complete with the monks working up to 8 hours per day. The public will be invited at no cost to view the mandala under construction.

But before August 10, we need your help! We're asking the public to vote on which mandala they would like to see constructed. Please head over to our poll for descriptions and images of the four different mandalas being considered and please VOTE: https://apps.facebook.com/my-surveys/dielfv

Thank you for participating!
