Volunteer Opportunities for 12 year old Boy
The library? I recall starting out helping in my local library about age 12/13. Helped out with storytime.
what are his interests? does the town have any 'buddy ball' or rec leagues for kids with disabilities...they would likely take volunteers his age.

We always need volunteers at events. We have one coming up on October 10th (Health & HarvestFest) and are in need of volunteers. Please email me at districtmanager@springfieldavenue.com if he is interested.
Next Saturday morning at the Wyoming Presbyterian Church in Millburn (on Wyoming Ave) the pumpkins are arriving from New Mexico at 9 am. All are welcome to help unload the truck (some years a boy scout troop has helped). The pumpkin sale will go on as long as there are pumpkins remaining. 100% of the proceeds go to a couple of different charities.
Collect gently used children's books---am continuing to bring books to schools in Orange and East Orange, and am besieged lately by requests for books K-5th grade. This is a great project--shelves get to be cleared, and great books passed along to bookless kids, thus improving literacy.....nothing can have a greater impact on others.
