Very expensive grape tomatoes @ Ashley

and you felt a need to post  this why?

Geez a little Friday levity. Posted in the humor category.

Lighten up Francis.

But I was looking for the humor....

A literal interpretation of the ad is that the grape tomatoes are $1.99 apiece, which would make for a pretty pricey package of grape tomatoes.

But, I lose by having to explain the joke.

Carry on folks...

Each tomato is hand picked from an organic farm in southern Italy, washed in spring water and patted dry by Benedictine nuns.

They are certified vegan, gluten free and have 0% trans fats, and use no high fructose corn syrup. Worth every penny.

Good one for the back page of Consumer Reports.

Yes, I would do anything for love -- but I won't do that.

I was hoping someone would notice!

I’m trying to work out the ‘Boar’s Head Turkey Breast’.

Also, for me it’s strange to see fresh Norwegian salmon fillets; ours are usually Tasmanian.

cheese

It would have been a better Facebook post.

Wondering why that turkey is $9.98 /lb and all other by-weight items are priced at the more conventional .99 handle, save one .49.

Is this some kind of secret sale or something?

Joanne Boar's Head is a brand name.  They do a lot of different meats.  Turkey, beef, ham, etc.

Thanks, Norah - I figured it was either a brand or a location, but it just seemed a little weird with nothing else to go on cheese.  (Lot of similar brands here are named after locations named after early landowners so you can find very old pioneering family names connected to things they’d never approve)

If you're going to try to be funny here, you better bring it.
