I do think this was a total accident. As to punishment, I do not know all the tennis rules. But being a long time baseball player, this strikes me as being like a batter throwing a bat in anger and hitting another player, or the umpire. There are rules regarding this behavior. And from what I recall as a kid, one of the first rules you learn is, "Don't throw the bat!"

First off - the whole Djokovic thing is a bit blown out of proportion. Had he hit the line judge anywhere other then where he did - this would really be a non-issue. McEnroe says he'll always be known as the "bad guy" - no he won't. Maybe John is hoping to pass on that reputation.
There have been some good matches - I miss the crowd, but am still enjoying without.
