Two big stories that mean big trouble for Trump

1) Trump says in a transcript of the Lavrov and Kislyak meeting that now that he's fired that "nut job" Comey  the pressure is off on the Russia involvement. Sean Spicer gives a rationalization that the WH needs to make deals with Russia and Comey was impeding it.

2) a high level White House official is a person of interest in this investigation.

I'll bet it's Kushner.

Is it conceivable that Spicer is a worse person than Trump?

The phrase, "There is no honor among thieves," comes to mind.

It will probably be Kushner:

I wonder if Trump will ever let Jared say anything in public.

I hope this whole house of cards comes tumbling down. It would be so nice if they all were destroyed by this.

If not by the various investigations then by the voters provided the Democrats can get out their voters.

Republicans are pretty good at getting their voters out by using religion, hate, anger and fear. All strong get out the vote motivators.

It will all depend on the candidates.  I am a life long Democrat but our candidates, aside from presidential candidates, never impress me.  Donald Payne?  Come on.

When we look back at history's most despicable reigns and wonder "How TF did this despot get away with... ?", we'll realize Spicey, Conway, Pence, and the GOP in general are the types that allow such scum to thrive.

My money is riding on Kushner.  When he filed his security clearance report he failed to disclose certain major financial and other activities involving meetings with Russians.  It never ceases to amaze me how the behaviors of West Wing occupants can be so country bumpkin.  One should always assume that if investigative government officials are asking you for personal info they likely already have a dossier on your behind.  And this was after West Wing occupants witnessed the FBI walking Trump appointees out of the White House after they had fudged their background paperwork.  But, hey, being the son-in-law may have lead Jared to believe he'd get a pass.  But like The Donald, they do not seem to understand that the law enforcement/intelligence agencies -- FBI/CIA -- do not work for the President.

www.politico.com:  February 16, 2017 -- White House Dismissed Six Over Failed Background Checks

http://www.politico.com/blogs/...

"Several White House staffers were dismissed Thursday morning after failing FBI background checks, according to sources familiar with the matter.  Some of the aides were "walked out of the building by security" on Wednesday after not passing the SF86, a Questionnaire for National Security Positions for security clearance."

Agreed, its hard to get enthusiastic about Payne. Of course we do have the very charismatic Cory Booker who is always vocal and I agree with him most of the time. By the way, I never hear anything about Mila Jasey.

Jared can get hints in how to deal with prison from his father.

If Jared goes down Christie will be dancing in the streets.

There's an image I can't get out of my head

Looks like Trump dancing and swaying with the Saudi sword dancers today.

Bet Christie wishes he could prosecute and go two for two.

well, of course. People like Trump can't thrive unless there are amoral hangers-on who provide him support. They're way more guilty than he is - they know better.

@GL2, you ask (or predict asking) how he gets away with this sh*t. Here is an explanation.

Roger Ailes Was One of the Worst Americans Ever

Thanks for this, Tom. Hey, how are things going for you in the City?

Donald Payne got elected on his father's name.

People seem to like Mila Jasey but I never hear anything about what she has accomplished.  She is on committees for Education, Higher Education, and Public Schools but I have no idea where she stands on public school funding from the state.

I suspect a lot of voters still think they're voting for the father.  They never knew that he passed away.

I have friends supporting John Thompson for mayor in East Orange. I had written to the last mayor and attended a couple of town halls. I hope he does well.

The former coach of Georgetown?

(that's a joke btw)

True.  Especially since they have the same name.
