A bit confusing at the beginning but at the end of the episode it all made sense and connected.

ok and another question,
at the end of the show, the guy everyone was looking for and end up dead .. was he the mayor of the city ?
I think he was on the city council or something like that. My take on Colin Ferrell was that the mob found the guy that raped his wife and were helping him with custody of his son so now he owes them something.

Are we sure that is the guy that raped Collin Ferrel wives ?? It seems legit but you never know if they framed the guy.
I have a feeling the missing girl will part of the city council and mob. We should see ...

I found the episode a little hard to follow, hopefully that changes soon.
Agreed, it was a bit disjointed, until they found the dead body at the end. I must have missed the missing girl part however, since that one went over my head.
I didn't add up the missing girl with the motorcycle cop girlfriend. And now that I think of it they do look alike. But you might be right because this show goes past and present .. And sometimes you don't even know when is when !! I don't like it when they do that .. Offto read some recaps to see what I missed *sigh*

The first episode of the season is truly disappointing compared to season one. The acting is off- Vince sounds terrible (not sure if it's the acting or the lines he's given). The first season felt like a film not a show, and Woody and Matthew had incredible chemistry and every weird thing they said was believable. Perhaps it will improve?
OK, that was fast. Did we already lose one of the leads? How the hell he survives two point blank shotgun blasts is beyond me.

As in all good noir, we don't know much. Who knows if the guy Frank gave up to Velcoro was really the rapist? Who knows if Velcro is dead? Trust nothing.
This is my thought was well ... I've always doubt that Frank gave him the right info about the rapist. We should see.

Wow !! That was quick to say the least. Reading online people are saying he (Velcoro) is still alive, because on the previews of the show there are scenes we haven't seen yet and he is in it. We should see. It's hard to believe he survives those guns shot.
I'm curious to know who shot him and why ? Was he followed ?? Or someone was already there ??
We do see a car parked outside when he entered the house ...
And i have to admit ... Collin Ferrell is doing a good job .. I'm started to appreciate his character (and acting) in this show

What rapist? Don't we know that Velcoro killed him years ago and that's why he's in debt to Frank? Aren't we only now looking for Caspar's killer?
The way I see it, Velcoro used information from Frank to avenge the attack on his ex-wife. But who knows whether Frank gave him the right guy?
Question about the opening scene: What were the posts with orange tape?

I think those posts were surveyor's marks for upcoming construction.. the project that Frank's success is contingent upon.
