Let's hope they start to exercise some muscle.

What muscle can they exert? As long as Trump is unimpeachable he can do whatever he wants. 

He can "message" his acolytes they may disregard court orders or do illegal activities. What can then be done? 

Contempt of court? He can issue pardons for that. Criminal sanctions? His justice department could refuse to prosecute.

They can stand up for the Rule of Law. They can sway public opinion to some extent. They can keep the Spirit of Liberty alive while waiting out the regime.

They can certainly resist efforts to use the Courts to punish Trump's opponents.

In the last Election the Trumpites chanted about his opponent "Lock her up". This time around Trump actually has the power to have people locked up.
