The "Second Lady" and LGBT Americans

So they're all over Congressman Steve King for what he said. But as far as I know his wife doesn't teach at a school which bars non-white students and parents.

These are disgusting people.

I figured out what you meant. Forget what I originally posted.

The Pences are a reason I am not as vocal as some folks about impeaching Trump or hoping he will resign. I don't want those people in the White House, even though some say that a President Pence would be easier to defeat (compared to Trump) in 2020. I think the best we can do is vote them all out.

Voting Trump out in 2020 is the much preferred way to deal with him. It would prove that the system works, even against a wannabee autocrat.

The question is which is worse, the devil you know or the devil you don't Pence has ALWAYS been a virulent homophobe. He helped enact all types of horrendous anti-gay laws in Indiana, including allowing conversion therapy  With all their smiling and "christian goodness" the two of them are frightening and dangerous. But we know where they stand.. Trump, on the other hand, who know?

where did you get from that article that the school “bars non-white students and parents”? perhaps I missed that.

This was Comey's wish as well. We "get off too easily" if he's impeached. We must throw him out through voting, even if we have to tolerate him. I would gladly accept his resignation, however.

Just hoping we've learned our collective lesson.

Is anyone else wondering about the prospect of the wife of perhaps the most uptight christian politician teaching art?   Will it be rainbows all day every day?  I mean they need to reclaim that symbol from the deviants.

Maybe the older kids will be permitted to do wood sculpture.  They could start on all the lumber up Pence's ***.

My guess is that it's probably an arts-n-crafts type class, with supplies from Hobby Lobby.

trumps “stands” are opportunistic. Pence is idealist religious zealot.

I’ll take idiocy of trump over pence any day

Trump is an evil racist demagogue. He is corrupt and cares about nothing but himself and money.

I can't imagine how anyone, even Pence, could be worse. What is the worst thing he did as Governor? Did he separate small children from their families? Did he shut down the State Government? Did he use the position to line his own pockets? Did he try to turn the State of Indiana to a province of  Russia?

And Pence would be far weaker than Trump. He does not have a fervent personal following and he does not know how to manipulate the media. I'm not even sure that he is a "religious zealot". He is a professional politician so his stand is what may be opportunistic.

The problem with Trump is not his policies - which would be similar to Pence. It's just standard Republicanism.

The problem is that he enjoys chaos, and producing same. He knows the media loves it, so he just sucks up all of the air in the room with his shenanigans. He's been the main story in the media for about 3 solid years now. That ain't healthy.

Pence is unlikely to follow this chaos-driven model of governance, and that's enough to prefer him over Trump.

ETA: Plus, without Trump there's probably no Steven Miller. Just that is enough to prefer Pence.

Which one is less likely to start a war because:

1.  They feel like a use of force is called for

2.  They said something really stupid and caused a war accidentally.

Funny how Pence can support an adulterer/bigot/racist/ but have an issue with what people do with their genitalia...

True.  I'm still looking for the part of the Bible where it says it is okay to cut a deal with the Devil to get your conservative SCOTUS appointments.

Using the term "Lady" for an unrepentant bigot seems misleading.
