Student needs a Windows workststation for two hours

Student needs a workstation with Excel for Windows with data analysis toolpack installed, for about two hours. Is there anyplace nearby with such a thing available to rent?

You could probably do this with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

I'm guessing computers at the library don't have that software?

They should have Excel but I doubt they would have the data analysis tool pack referred to in the OP. Still, it is worth a call to the library to ask.

Libraries were our first thought, but it was a Sunday, so the libraries were closed. FedEx provides this service, but at something like $.50 a minute, which for this project would have been steep. Finally found a relative with a PC, and 12 hours later all is well.

The whole episode gave me horrifying flashbacks of college all-nighters. Yikes.

Funny you should mention that. I work in the IT department at Manhattan College (misnamed, as it's in the Bronx). I just had a meeting to help plan facilitating licensed software. We have literally dozens of licensed apps for math and engineering, each with its own licensing scheme. Some of the apps cost many thousands of dollars each. I'm not centrally involved in managing the licensing. I'm not envious of those who are.
