Springfield DMV

I ended up getting the form in the mail 2 days after I renewed online....they have a link to have the PIN emailed

thanks Gov

just renewed mine ( was needing to go in person)

I renewed my license online in the spring and I'm many years under 65.

Apparently a recent law allows most people to renew online even if your renewal notice says you must renew in person.

photos now good for 12 years

so online is available ( unless you need or want a "real id)

I passed on trying to get the Real ID because at the time the wait was several months for an appointment. Then the pandemic hit.  I'll hang out and try in 2021 or 2022 and use my passport if necessary for flights.

I renewed my driver’s license online yesterday; it’s just as simple and easy everyone says.

In the snail mail, I received the renewal form with the following heading across the top:

“PLEASE RENEW YOUR LICENSE AT A MOTOR VEHICLE AGENCY – NOT BY MAIL”

There was nothing on the form to indicate that renewing online was an option. However, I went to the MVC website anyway, selected the license renewal tab, and got this message:

“Same-Day Online Renewal. In most cases, you can renew your license online, even if your renewal form says you are required to visit an agency in person.”

Below that message was a link that read, “Renew Your License Online”

You need your driver license number, your social security number and a credit card. It takes about five minutes if you’re moving slowly.

Has anyone been to Randolph recently? Do we still need to get there at 6am? I'm heading down there tomorrow for license renewal (have to go in because they have my info wrong.)
