Crest Drive is a disaster every spring. Seems they could do something more long-lasting.
SOA is a county highway. Crest Dr is a township street. Different responsible parties who rarely coordinate on such actions.

My bad! I didn't think about the Crest Dr in the Reservation, only the street in Newstead as part of a potential detour.
Any repairs to the Crest Dr in the Reservation would be from a different pot than the $30 million in partly Federal funds going to the S curves. That project, BTW, has another year to completion.

The project they are doing is huge. Not at all surprised it is going to be another year. I was hoping they might be repaving a bit, and take it into the reservation. The road is truly a disgrace.
I just hope that Glen Road in Millburn will be open consistently. I have gotten trapped in some truly FUBAR traffic after the water main break happened a few weeks ago.
I'm really dreading this. Traffic has already been rough for the past few weeks. I can't figure out why but SO Ave has been backed up almost every day when I drive home, approaching the JFK Parkway intersection. I don't know what is going to happen when it's closed, except that 24 will be a nightmare.
I know that it's part of a huge project and we have to just deal with closures sometimes. It is what it is but I'm still just pre-emptively bitching about it
