Shades of Blue - Anybody Watching?

I'm surprised I like this show as much as I do; I had it figured as a vanity piece for Jennifer Lopez, but the supporting cast, including the incredible Ray Liotta, makes it a HUGE hit (and I hear it's been renewed already for next season).  Anybody else watching?

It's excellent.  Ray Liotta is fantastic and Jenifer Lopez is really holding her own against him which surprised me.   Renewed???  I thought this was more of a short arc mini-series?  How can they drag this storyline out for multiple seasons?  It seems to be coming to a head.  Maybe future seasons with a different , revolving cast and storyline?

I saw her on a talk show and she said it was renewed.  I, also, thought it was a mini-series, but I guess not.  They sure are evil, aren't they?

Yeah, this is no nice little police squad! LOL The only character I hate is Tess.  So much Drea de Matteo can do and they have in some stupid, sexist, throw-away story with her as a pouting, aging wife whose husband is cheating on her?  That's her big story?  Boo!!!

I'm annoyed it was renewed.  I was expecting a wrapped story in a few weeks!

I don't see how Wozniak can survive this season in any sense of the word. Racing toward disaster and perdition.

It is an amazing show. Liotta and Lopez are fabulous, and I have to hand it to her that she isn't always trying to just look gorgeous. As someone else said, I thought it would be a vanity piece, and I was totally wrong.

Yes, Tess is beyond annoying. But there are such stupid, self-destructive people in the world, so she isn't unrealistic. I find myself horrified at this depiction of a precinct as riddled with corruption that includes murdering each other. Yikes!!!

She's not unrealistic- just unnecessary!

I will never, ever get over that scene of her in The Sopranos, being dragged through the forest to her death.

Ray Liotta is the best villain on TV right now. Funny you mentioned about the actor who plays "Tess". While most of the ex-sopranos characters now are playing either a judge, or a good cop on TV, she is still stuck in this annoying role.

exactly. At first, I wished she had played Haylee, expecting JLo to be a bore but JLo is very good. Just seems like they could have given poor Drea something way better than whining about being cheated on and getting old.
