Sewing Cotton Masks for Medical/Caregiver People

Hi, a bunch of SOMa sew-ers are gathering (oops, virtually) to sew and collect masks, send me a message if you are interested in joining. Thanks!

Please tell us which materials are needed for this project and how to donate those we might have.

Hi, Thanks for asking! we need spools of elastic for sewing, 3/8''-3/4'' (but it's pretty hard to find.) Also cotton (like used for dress shirts or quilts) or cotton/poly blend fabric. (Cut into 6x9" rectangles if you're game.) Message me for central Maplewood dropoff location. 

I will have elastic this weekend if you need it.  I’m organizing community sewing initiatives for Atlantic Health System.

no offense, but the sewing of masks, while well intentioned, seems like a waste of time.
