killer frozen margaritas
16 oz tequila
8 oz triple sec
4 oz Nettie and Joe’s key lime juice (regular lime juice is okay, but not optimal)
12 oz frozen limeaid
1 beer (slide it in at the end)
salt (optional)
lime wedges
Pour the tequila, triple sec, lime juice and limeade in a large pitcher. Stir until the limeade is thawed. Carefully "slide" the beer into the pitcher so it doesn't foam too much. Serve on the rocks, with a lime wedge, with or without salt. Amazing.
The recipe below makes a blender worth of drinks.
My recipe,
Bag of limes from Costco
Citrus squeezer and some forearm strength
Powdered sugar
Ice and tequila (GOOD TEQUILA)
That's all you need - The fresh limes are sooooo much better than bottled lime juice.
Oh, ALWAYS go with fresh limes and high quality tequila. The taste is SOoooo much better.
As for the ice, invest in a nice kitchen mallet (the kind that looks like a medieval weapon with pointy bits all along one side) and put a bunch of ice cubes in a doubled up freezer bag. Put it on the patio or driveway and pound away until the ice is the size you like. Or just pound it until it's small enough that your blender can handle it.
serves one.

Does anyone here make their own frozen Margaritas/Daquiris whatever? I am a sucker for the slushy ice in the humid summer. I had a blender that was suppose to crush ice, but it worked so-so.
