Really fun/good lunch place near Kean U

I am taking a client to lunch in that area and we've done the Kean restaurant, Ursino, to death. Any other suggestions? Should be within a short drive.

Closest would be Suspenders, which is just behind Kean. http://www.suspenderspubnj.com The Galloping Hill hot dog place at Five Corners in Union is fun on a nice day when you can sit outside. Most delicious food in the area is at La Griglia in Kenilworth, which has a price fixe lunch menu. http://www.lagriglia.com

also in Kenilworth, BoulevardFive72...a place I think that keeps getting better...and a very nice place for lunch.

NOT Suspenders for a client lunch, it's basically a sports bar. Better option: the Garden Restaurant at 943 Magie Avenue. It's closer to Kean than the places in Kenilworth.

Yeah, Suspenders is a sports bar. Which might be fine for burgers or sandwiches, depending on the personality of your client....

What about Ursinos which is the farm to table restaurant right on the grounds of Kean I believe.

is that restaurant at the Union golf course open to the public. i think its that building you pass on the parkway..but i think its a fancy place

what about sun tavern in roselle park...about 10 minutes from the college

Have you been to Valenca in Elizabeth? Five or ten minutes from Kean, great Portuguese food. Some people are dressed up but most are not. But definitely fun. Order the cook-your-own filet mignon, arrives on a hot stone and you cut off pieces as they get cooked. It would be a great place to bring a client.
