From a quick google search, it looks like they used to be a reputable instrument maker several decades ago, but have since switched their emphasis to primarily saxophones. You can determine it's value by either playing it, if you know how, or by bringing it to a flute repair shop and asking the technicians there. I would recommend calling Flute Center of New York (212-307-9737). If the flute looks like a piece of junk, it probably is. However, it might also be made of solid silver, but without pictures, I just can't say.

Does anyone know any history on Rampone & Cazzani? I have a flute with a stamp on it that only says RAMPONE STANDARD FLUTE Made in Italy. I cant find any information online about how to determine the year it was made or the potentially value.
Before I bother taking it to a specialist I thought I'd ask the community
