Quicken Loans

Has anyone had experience refinancing their mortgage with Quicken? My husband wants to refinance and I am reading many negative reviews on line, as well as positive reviews that are suspiciously similar and poorly written. Thank you for your input

Absolutely the easiest and most convenient process I could have imagined. I did it through their association with Schwab, which may have helped, but I was amazed at how easy it was.

Quicken is an 800 number. You talk to someone in MI. They usually don't have experience or any local knowledge. The last fee estimate I saw was a mess. They charged points and gave a credit. I also know of appraisal issues.

If you need help, give me a call. I'm a local mortgage banker with 15+ years experience and have the most competitive rates and fees. Happy to help! oh oh

Run the other way from Quicken. I, too, went to use them because of my affiliation with Schwab. They started off really well, easily gave me a terrific rate for a 30 year mortgage and then did a complete 180, saying oh, they made a mistake on the pre-approval, then kept changing their terms, ultimately asking for 35% down, for a 10 year mortgage! At that rate, I could have paid cash for the danged house and saved myself a lot of aggravation. I raised a stink with Schwab, which said they weren't responsible for anything since they just refer loan business to Quicken. Ultimately I wound up with the executive offices which refunded me the fees I had paid so far, and I never looked back.

Easy and convenient - yes. Best pricing - no. Try Zillow's mortgage market for solid brokers with MUCH better deals.
