People for Animals Shoe Drive

It’s a shoe-in for pets!

People for Animals (PfA), the nonprofit, low cost spay and neuter clinic with a nearby branch in Hillside, has embarked on an innovative fundraising drive.  With the assistance of SOMA for Animals, People for Animals is setting up bins in various locations around our two towns where people can drop off worn, but clean and useable shoes.  These shoes will be sold to raise funds for PfA, which treats approximately 22,000 animals a year, greatly reducing the number of unwanted animals.  Remember, an intact cat can be the originator of hundreds of felines if the chain remains unbroken.

SOMA for Animals is an independent advocacy group, working toward improving the lot of animals in South Orange and Maplewood.

As of 3/15, there will be bins at the following locations, within the timeframes listed:

March 15-May 15:  47 N Wyoming @Overhill, South Orange

(Across from South Mountain Elementary)

March 15-March 29:  Shop Rite, 220 Main St, Millburn, NJ 07041

March 15-May 15:  South Orange Public Library, 65 Scotland Road, South Orange
