Pendang in south orange?

Anybody me recommend anything on the menu?

Red curry, basil chicken

Second basil chicken. I usually ask them to add extra spice; it's delicious as-is but they'll crank it up if asked.

I enjoy the basil chicken, too. My husband raves about their sushi.

Pandang's sushi is quite good.

I understand the tuna crackers are excellent

My favorites at Pandang (a customer since a couple of weeks after they opened):  tom yum soup, tom kha gai soup, ginger chicken, panang curry with chicken, beef or shrimp, shrimp and chicken with Szechuan peppercorns.  They will increase the spice level if requested.  Their sushi and sashimi is also wonderful.  One of my favorite local eateries!

I like the Beef Pad See Ew.  My kids like the Shrimp Habachi.  Our family really likes the food there.

CRISPY DUCK ROLL!! (Yes I'm yelling)

The sushi is very good. Try the Foxy Lady Roll! The chicken coconut soup is also very good, although spicy (they can dilute it if you don't like spicy food).

You can usually find a Valpak coupon online; you get 15% off your bill if you pay cash.

I'm glad to hear people like their food. We used to eat there, but the last two or three times I ate there, I was very, very disappointed.

I have to admit, I loved one of their curry dishes, and ordered that almost every time. Then I got a batch that wasn't so good. The next time I thought I should try something different. That was mediocre at best. Same happened the third time. Unfortunately, I have found that when I am disappointed in a restaurant the third time, I find myself not wanting to go back.

Supposedly Jenny, the owner, is there everyday except Sunday. One of the last times we were there it was a Sunday, and the food lacked the same flavor it has when Jenny is there, even though we requested it spicy. I think we also had another issue on a Sunday, nothing major, but enough that I don't want to go back when she's not there.

I totally appreciate that she needs and wants a day off, she works very hard and does a great job!

Chicken lettuce wrap.

Appetizers only.   Main courses are blah.

Shh-- thanks. Sunday would be a likely time for us to go. I hope that was the problem. I don't recall the last dish I ordered there, but it was dreary.
