It's Restaurant Week in NYC, yesterday through August 14th. Google it or go to Open Table for a list. We just had a great 3-course lunch for $25 per person at The Gander, 15 W 18th St. The atmosphere was only so-so, but some of the food on the limited menu was delicious and unusual. (I believe that all of the NYC Restaurant Week Lunches are 3-course $25 pre fixe). By the way, the wine list was quite impressive and overpriced.

Thanks too! Keep suggestions coming.
Do Hwa is a Korean restaurant on Carmine, very near the Houston St. stop on the 1. Haven't been there for lunch, but it's good food, nice cocktail menu, and a cool vibe.

Thanks Hank (and everyone else). Haven't decided, so keep suggestions coming.
Thanks everyone. Bc it is restaurant week, I decided I will save the great suggestions for lower cost for another day and so Thursday we are going to the Gander on Jasmo's suggestion. Thanks again robi
I love La Laterna in the West Village, near NYU. Great lunch place--reasonable prices, everything I have had there is good (dessert is great), and it has a cool garden room:

I'm looking for suggestions for a quirky or special, lower cost lunch place in NYC, Chambers to 14 Street, West Side. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
