NY Knicks (3) vs Spurs (1) NBA Championship 2026 GM 5 Saturday 6.13.26
Plaza 33 watch party has been cancelled due to the crowd becoming too large and too unruly but we are on to the finals 
Finals to begin next week Wednesday! OKC and SanAn are playing a tough series. Hopefully they punch each other out so to speak lol. Game 6 in NY, if Knicks don’t win/lose in 5, will be in NY at same time as FIFA game. No NY Penn access for non-FIFA ticket holders. Last time Knicks were in the finals my son was in diapers and my daughter hadn’t graced us with her presence. Both have since successfully flown the nest.
Knicks will be the underdog versus either team in the West, but it should be a great series.
Repeat of 99 Finals. Spurs with their 3rd year 1st rd draft pick leading the way again. Need a different result this time though Let’s go Knicks
With the Watch33 party resumed, things should get interesting in Herald Square tonight. I can’t wait!!
Holy crap. At one point in my game, I thought, the Knicks are just overmatched. This will be a short series. Did anybody else feel that way?

I didn't think Knicks were overmatched, but they did have stretches of the game where they played poorly.
So far this season the Knicks have been able to figure out the Spurs. 3 more wins to go though. This team plays like it believes 😎 The Nova Knicks might actually do this
Crazy. They have that winner aura that teams you hate have when they are rivals of your team.
Knicks gave the Spurs an opportunity last night. Game 3 on Monday is going to be madness. Hopefully it stays about basketball

The Spurs had their chances but played like the young team they are. Some critical mistakes in the closing minutes. Give credit to the Knicks for not playing their best game and still getting the win.
Was not the anticipated outcome but comeback Wednesday and refocus on the team game. KAT and Bridges didn’t get enough touch. The team looked out of rhythm with all the errant passes and such.
The Knicks missed ten three-pointers in a row in the last quarter. Hard to win without hitting these shots.

How many people gave up and stopped watching? If you watched to the end, there’s no way you could calm down enough to go to sleep.
My wife berates me for giving up on games. I gave up in the first half but came back and watched the end. The Knicks' comeback ability is supernatural.
NY hasn't had a championship in any of the big four sports since 2012.

The New York Liberty won their first and only WNBA Championship in 2024. Don't want to belittle womens' sports - the skill level has improved quite a bit over the years - but it's not big 4.
Yeah I have to assume you’re talking about SUNY New Paltz winning the 2012 (U.S. Rules Division) College Croquet National Championship.

I wasted entirely too much time this morning researching the history of the US Collegiate Croquet championships for a silly gag. But that’s me.
The Garden has started showing the games on big screen at Plaza 33. Game last night gave me memories of watching the Knicks in the Garden when I could afford it. Great win after being down 20 with a little over 7 minutes left.
