Nice place to stay overnight in or near Asbury Park?

Taking the kids to a concert at the Stone Pony; don't want to drive home late at night. Any suggestions?TIA

If you don't need to stay right on the beach, last Labor Day weekend we got a great deal on a room about 10 mins away on the main drag (35? I forget) at a large chain hotel through Priceline. Maybe comfort inn? It was a very large suite, perfect for us and our tween. Very clean. (On the same road, just opposite side, as a big pizza/grill MJs that we ended up going to for dinner.)

I can tell you not to bother with Hotel Tides in Asbury.

There are lots of VRBO listings but most require two nights.

Found it: holiday  inn express Neptune on 66.

Of course there's also the Berkeley hotel right there but $$$.

We stayed at the Ocean Grove Inn in February when we went to see a show at the Stone Pony and it was very comfortable. It's not a typical BnB, and I'm pretty sure they will welcome children. As I recall, the couple that manages it has a daughter, and it's not full of precious antiques. We stayed for just one night on Valentines' weekend and wished we were staying longer.

This was the hotel for the Runapalooza half marathon and would be a great location for the show -

There is a large hotel right on the boardwalk, was reasonable and there was big wedding going on in visit last summer:, managed well:

thanks. booked at holiday inn express.

FYI: There are numerous hotels and B&Bs in Ocean Grove which are about a 7 minute picturesque stroll from the Stone Pony.
