Joanne, sorry to hear this. I have no advice other than please go see your doctor or dentist. I am thinking doctor, but not certain as if it is a gum issue the dentist is a better bet. But just pick one and go - if it's not the optimal choice they should tell you. Take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon.
Excellent advice. Apparently it might be a part of my Crohn’s symptoms, so I emailed my gastroenterologist’s nurse. 😉
Have already received a workable answer 😁
Salt water rinses, soft foods and some tests in a couple of months (prior to next visit).
Thanks for your help, too!
It’s amazing how quickly and how well that works! Thank you!

Glycerin always works well for me. Just a swab.
@Jaytee, I’m just astounded! My palate has completely healed already, and no more pain! THANK YOU!

You know that soft little point on the top of your mouth, just behind your front teeth? Well, mine has been swollen and sore for a couple of weeks. It’s hard to bite or chew anything more solid than jello.
I’ve tried to use a bit of Bonjela on it (yes, we can still buy that from pharmacies here), however I’m allergic to salicylates so I shouldn’t use it. I can’t use paracetamol or codeine, so I’m stuck in pain and not knowing what to use.
Any ideas, please?
