No trains currently into NYPenn

NY Penn departure vision: http://dv.njtransit.com/mobile/tid-mobile.aspx?sid=NY

Looks like no trains are leaving Penn either at the moment.

if it's still blocked tonight, I can bring people home again.

UPDATE Following an earlier brush fire between Newark and New York: Train service between NPS and NYPS has resumed with delays of up to 60 minutes.

Its more like 15. The Montclair left on time.

ETA: Train pretty much on time. The 4:18 Dover which doubled up with the 4:09, left the station at 4:19! Not bad.

Waiting for 5:43. Not looking great - board is all delayed and stand bys. I'd recommend Hoboken if feasible. They are announcing 50 minute delays.

5:43 left about 25 min late. Not too bad after all.

That's pretty normal, if I remember correctly!  LOL!  So sorry you all have to continually go through these commuting problems.

They're basically canceling every other train in th lineup and combining trains, FYI.

No big deal, people. Here's a picture of where the fire occurred:

Yes, anything after 5:30 is hit or miss these days. I heard on a conductor's radio last night that there were signal problems at Newark Broad st. Thank goodness we were past that stop. This may have been the cause of the delays. I leave very early in the mornings to AVOID this hot mess of a system that needs fixing.

I passed the fire driving in on the turnpike yesterday. Plumes of dark gray smoke were billowing everywhere, water from fire trucks seemed to hardly make a dent. It looked very bad.
