Maplewoodstock

Just walking around today made me feel so happy.  So many people, so many different people, just an incredible panorama of people.

Maybe we do live in a bubble.  It's the best bubble, if that's true.

ok

Third world ruled the day- the version of “con te partiro “ was amazing!

Thanks to the Maplewoodstock Committee for a great day!

The bands were well chosen.  Danielia Cotton rocked!  Third World was amazing!

Daniela Cotton and Third World +++! Thank you, Maplewoodstock A&R persons!

Really well run this year.  Everyone did a great job.  Look forward to seeing the big finale.  Saturday night was amazing (that's when I arrived--probably was amazing before then too).

looks like we’ll be starting soon!

It will clear up later.

Autumn Jones crushed it !

The Parkers are on now.

Forget the Whale

So much more relaxed and civilized today than yesterday.  Thank you so much to the Maplewoodstock Committee for all you have been doing in making this a stellar event.

what’s black is white!!!!!!!!!

A wonderful weekend!  Thank you to the organizers and all the volunteers.

If you haven't donated go to http://maplewoodstock.com

I thought the new canopy policy worked well.  Why not require people to take down their canopies before the evening performances?  There's no reason to have them up after the sun sets.  Especially on Saturday night it would make it easier for the crowd to see the stage and open up more space.

Please get rid of the vertical banners listing the sponsors.  They block the view of the stage during 90% of the performances for the majority of the crowd.  The banners are only transparent at night and most of Maplewoodstock is during the day.  Unless you are sitting in the center section, your view of the stage is blocked.

Thanks to everyone who came out, and to all the nice comments.

We need to banners for sponsors.  It is how we raise the money to fund this free two-day festival.  Wow will certainly consider if there is a way to reposition them, but that is a standard placement for a rented festival stage.

love the idea of taking down canopies at night. I was away Saturday, came back at night and managed to run over and catch some of Third World... stood in back and had to squat to see the stage. Found one spot where the people took down the actual fabric of the canopy but left the “legs” of it up. That was nice

ps- came back Sunday w the kiddos. Love Maplewoodstock, and so happy it is part of our lovely town! Thank you to all the organizers!

Thanks everyone!  It's good to get all feedback!

If you have video - please upload to youtube and mention Maplewoodstock 2018

"Monster Ballads" & "Girl in the War" were so great to hear in the park on a lovely evening.  Another great Maplewoodstock in the books.  Thank you!!!

I was only able to attend on Sunday. I loved Marry The Sea, What's Black is White (such great genre-blending!), Jane Lee Hooker (awesome energy and power!), and the Suffers (soulful and so entertaining). I'd go see these bands again, for sure.

My observation (on Sunday) was that there were lots of bands fronted by and very inclusive of women. Hooray for that!

Autumn Jones - from Maplewood.  Now attending Berklee.  What a talent.  This is just a snippet but you get an idea of the voice she has.

I don't know everyone involved with Maplewoodstock every year but I do know that Gary Shippy, Drew Dix, Tom Kerns, and Jamie Ross continue to work tirelessly to put on this incredible event...for free.  I don't think anyone has any idea how many hours they put into this, sweating the details, sweating the heat, sweating the rain, and coordinating something that has become an institution for Maplewood, creating notoriety for our town well beyond our borders.

Thank you, gentlemen, and apologies to all the others who I don't know.  Please add to my list of volunteers if you have those names.

The rest of the committee are:  Katie Clayton, Kevin Chandler, Tarquin Learned, Jim Robertson and Kerry Miller.  Everyone has their area of expertise that makes the festival possible.
