Thanks for the post jerseyjack. I was just mentioning this place to a friend and wasn't even sure it was still open. I remember in the 80's it was the go to diner (the Parkwood hadn't yet bought the diner that had been there, which was not very good by the time the Parkwood took over and reformed the entire building and it was 24 hours.
I just checked their menu and it looks quite good. Although I am very partial to the Parkwood I will definitely check it out. Thanks again for posting and your support of them.

I used to go there when they were open 24 hours. It was better than the Sage diner ( now parkwood ).
I love parkwood but when they’re packed I go to the maplewood diner. Usually for breakfast, it’s good.
We've been there many times for breakfast since they reopened after the fire. Good food and good service, but never a lot of people there. So go and enjoy!
We went a few times after they reopened and were disappointed in both the food and the service. But perhaps we should give them another try.

When was the last time you went there? 7 of us went there last night. Excellent food.
But the place needs support. Consider it for your next outing.
