Looking for best Chinese food to cater a party

I need good Chinese food to cater a party in Montclair. There are so many Chinese restaurants and most are so-so. I need at least B+ quality Chinese food reasonably close to Montclair. Please, please help!! Appreciate any suggestions.

TS Ma in upper montclair. Qualitatively better than your average suburban Chinese for sure. It's the best around these parts, we make the trek often. Wish it was in Soma .

China Gourmet in West Orange serves good but not great Cantonese food, but if you order off of the smaller menu - red it color - you get some more unusual and interesting dishes that really might be what you are looking for. So if you were to go there and work with them, I think you could end up with some very varied and interesting food. But I wouldn't try to do this over the phone.

They make up for it with their proximity to Montclair.

Yes, this is the puzzling thing about recommending restaurants, doctors, even shoe repair. You can have a uniformly good, even great experience, and someone else doesn't. For example, I've been the Dim Sum Villa for dim sum and dinner and highly recommend both. Dragged friends there, family - great experiences. One of my friends who is Asian thinks it's one of three best Chinese restaurants in NJ. Not once have I had anything like surly service, although some servers speak English better than others. Do you have a better palette than me? Did you get lousy food because they had an off day? Just got lousy service? No idea.

But while a bit off topic, at least if you don't like it, it's only an meal. I have had an instance of borderline malpractice by a doctor on the Best Doctor's list (Borderline because I didn't go through with the treatment after additional consultations). Yet, I see this name on lists and people swear by this doctor. If I went through I might have ended up with unneeded surgery that was "desperately" needed....

Far worse than a meal I suppose...
