Local mompreneur needs your feedback

I am a local mom and inventor of Lava Lunch - the only lunchbox that keeps food hot.  It is a new business and I am seeking other moms to try it out & play with it for me in a 'real world' setting and offer feedback.  I am offering to give the product away free to about 2-3 dozen people, in exchange for your feedback.  The feedback would be confidential if you prefer and used for product improvement - but if you're happy with it, I am hoping that you would also be kind enough to post your happy thoughts on Amazon and some social sites.

If you're interested, please PM me.

I don't know how to PM on the new MOL.

Is the food put directly into the lunch box, or do we put our own container and that goes in the lunch box?  If our food goes directly into the lunch box then may I ask what it is made out of and is it BPA free?

Why do you need to be a mom to try this out?

You put the food, already hot, into your own container & then into the lunchbox with two heat packs.  The heat packs + super insulation keep it warm, up to 5 hours.  Everything is bpa free, phalate free.  The heat-packs are made primarily of organic materials & are non-toxic.

Doesn't have to be a mom - it's just that half of my sales have been for use with children.  In my experience, it's been mostly moms packing kids lunch - but definitely not 100%.

I am interested in trying Lave Lunch, but do not know how to PM in the new forum.

Though there are many exceptions, in general kids at school are the ones most likely to not have access to a microwave during the day.

Somewhere back a ways I did read about this and thought it was a good idea. Kids are funny sometimes about what they carry,if it's different, etc..Also perhaps a name change. I don't remember the cost. Just a few thoughts.

?!???!?? What does this mean? As for what you quoted, I think I'm offended. But I'm unsure. ??!!!?

Im a dad, I cook and would like to try those out. Have no idea how to PM on the new forum but will look into it in the am.

love the term momprenuer

is this your product?  https://www.lavalunch.com/#b

timing may be off given school is almost out and hot food in summer declines

maybe shift your messaging towards beach, boating, etc

also i think a volume market for you would be to sell to food delivery companies who struggle with hot food delivery and quality control

For PMs, you can click Messages at the top of the screen and send from there.

Yes, that link is my product.  But the one I'm offering here isn't the dual compartment. That's a new style and I don't have stock yet.  The style I have right now has one main compartment with external pockets for other goodies.  I'd really like to hear about your experience using it - was it easy enough, did it work well enough, etc.  You can use any food container with it, but it does work best with stainless steel.

The OP mentioned looking for other moms to try out the product.  I don't believe that they were trying to insult dads, or men and women who aren't parents.  Dads do make lunch for kids too.  Adult men and women do have jobs where they don't have access to a microwave (though the majority who work in office settings do tend to have access).  I was just trying to explain why the OP may have unintentionally slipped and said moms.

About not understanding what I meant in my post, when I worked at a place with a fridge and a microwave I never worried about keeping food hot during the day.  I brought it in and stored it in the fridge and then heated it up during my break, as did my co-workers.  That is what having access to a microwave during the day is about.  My husband, OTOH, works in a job where he doesn't have access to a fridge or microwave, but most workers are not in that position. Realistically, kids at school are going to be the biggest market for this item, this would be a way for kids to have a hot lunch without being dependent on buying the hot lunch from school.

Dad, you were always included. My son was a homemaker for a few years and now with his new wife he continues his skills including making dinner and lunches. He speaks homemaker-ese fluently. As do all the other men in my family including my father. They always felt included.

Did anyone else think of the mcdlt when reading this?

Yes, I don't think it was a purposeful slight, but rather just a slip of the tongue.

FYI, I make and pack school lunches every morning.  Not a purposeful slight, but it doesn't go unnoticed by me. It's a big pet peeve.

I'm a mom who always hated making lunches, so I didn't do it.  They had a lunch account or they could make their own (sometimes with help from Dad.)

Composerjohn, I'm sorry you feel that way - that it's a big pet peeve.

Wow.  You're insulted by an innocent non--comment?  Congrats on a life of pointless outrage.

Not insulted. Not upset or outraged. Just saying I notice it. That's all.

Thanks to everyone.  I have a delivery of the warmers coming later this week & will drop off Lava Lunchboxes to everyone who replied, shortly after - roughly somewhere between Friday and next Tuesday.

Thanks again!

If anyone else is still interested - the offer is still open.....
