Dunno. There haven't been reports of the Werewolf of London in quite a while.

Sounds like a coyote.  Foxes are not that big.

Foxes full grown and healthy are about 25 lbs. The ones I've seen now are about 15 lbs. If anyone is worried about homeless cats, we are trying to find safe yards for spayed and neutered kitties who are not yet socialized.

Wasn't me, I was at Luna Stella.

Yeah it’s hard to spot them since Lee Ho Fook closed.

I would agree it sounds like a coyote. They’ve been around before. If someone has snuck large cardboard boxes into your recycling bin with “Acme” printed in the side be on the lookout.

Two people, including my friend's brother, were attacked by a coyote in Saddle River while walking their dogs last night. It apparently got on the news. (The brother is OK now).

As mrincredible said, it probably wasn't since Lee Ho Fook's has been closed since 2008.

Coyote Ugly is still open on E.14th, though.

His hair was perfect.

On a serious note:

An eastern coyote, also known as a "coywolf," is a

hybrid animal resulting from the interbreeding of western coyotes,

wolves, and domestic dogs, found primarily in eastern North America. These

hybrids are larger than western coyotes, possess longer legs and a more

robust build, and have a broader diet that can include larger prey like

white-tailed deer.

I saw that news report .. sounded suspiciously like rabies to me. I assume your friend's brother has had appropriate medical treatment... how scary that is though.

I am out with my dog in the very early morning (not far from home, just to do his morning business) and stuff like this worries me. He has occasionally reacted to something I don't see and I just hustle him into the house quickly. Do not want to tangle with any wild animals!!

Coyote attacks on humans, and by wolves for that matter, are extremely rare.  They are very wary of humans and avoid close contact.

Agree, and learning to be wary of humans is an essential survival skill.
