It is the most boring race ever. Miles and miles of dune grass. No ocean views. I ran it a couple years ago and the turn out was good but I will never run it again. The streets of SOMA are 100% more beautiful.
I ran it a few years back and would echo what Kt1212 has said, however the upside is that it is completely flat and therefore very fast. So, if you are looking to set any personal records, this is a great race for that.
I'm not looking to set any personal record just finish with a decent time. I guess I'm leaning toward Brooklyn then my hope was that Sandy Hook would be a pretty run along the ocean and with a later start time than Brooklyn it would be more manageable 9:00 vs 7:00.
Brooklyn will be a production to get to, unfortunately, but driving makes it manageable. I did the Brooklyn Half this past year and really enjoyed it; I think the Rock 'n' Roll half is similar. And an upside to the early start time would be it's not going to be so hot. Early October could be a crapshoot so by 10 or 11 you could be running in some pretty warm temps.

Has anyone run this race? I know it was canceled last year and there is very little info about it online. I am wondering if it is a good size race?
I'm debating between this one and the Rock and Roll Half in Brooklyn
Thanks
