My best friend is a mobile groomer and was also told she would have to close her business for the duration.
That being said, I got an email a few days ago from Cherrybrook in Livingston stating that their grooming salon is open for limited appointments. Not mobile though.
I heard on WNYC this morning that a big cat at the Bronx Zoo (a tiger, I think, I wasn't listening closely) tested positive for the corona virus.

A tiger. Plus 3 other tigers and 3 lions have coughs. They only tested the one because she was knocked out already for tests, and assume the others have it. They only did the test out of "due diligence" and were very surprised when it came back positive.
Evidently a zoo employee who hadn't yet shown symptoms passed it on. All of the animals and the employee are doing well and are expected to recover. And no other big cats are showing symptoms. The article I read said that zoo employees will now wear protective gear when working with the cats - which they already do when working with primates.
These are the first animals in the US that have tested positive for the virus.

Seems not so essential, but you never know. It would make the dog feel handsome if there's an appropriately socially distanced solution. Otherwise, it's off to the backyard with the hose.
