Is Bernie Out?

I’m not a fan of his politics but I hope he is okay. I would guess this would mean he’s likely out? What do you think that’ll mean now? I think Elizabeth will soar past Joe.

I don't think he's out.

And there's a rumor going around that I'm not Bernie's biggest fan.

I don’t know, even if he doesn’t think he’s out, I’ll bet this rules him out in many people’s minds.

He's raised more money than anyone in this past cycle. I'm not a fan but I hope this heart event doesn't stop his campaign . It doesn't mean he's too old, as I had this same procedure - twice. And I'm not old!

I very much want him to be a part of the next administration.  He has a great deal to offer.  He's not my choice, though, for president, and I think this issue will really harden those who are opposed to him.

 Biden has an issue, too, deserved or not. We may lose two front-runners. Sooner rather then later, as far as I'm concerned.

Having had a full blown heart attack five years ago, I am familiar with the drill.

Bernie had two stents implanted.  That would not have been advisable had he had a major blockage.

I was tested and my arteries were found to be far too clogged for the simpler stent procedure

A four way bypass was called for so of I went to Morristown Memorial.  The procedure followed by some time in rehab put me back on my feet.  I decided not to run for President.

I do remember that Eisenhower had one and possibly two heart attacks while in office and continued through to the end of his term.

Bernie will run from the grave if need be.  I don't see anything short of complete disability taking him out of the race.

That said, his age is a concern to a lot of folks.  I supported him in 2016 and still think he is a great Senator but I wouldn't vote for him or Biden because I think they are just too old. A lot of other reasons not to vote for Biden but, as far as Bernie goes, for me, it is the age.

 Health and age hounded McCain and when his VP pick went too far out there and exhibited her lack of knowledge, the comment was that she was a heartbeat away from the presidency.

These issues will dog both Biden and Sanders, fair or not.

On the other hand we have this junk food addicted man about the same age, running the country so who knows.

Bernie needs to drop out.  This will be hanging over him throughout next 13 months and the worst possible thing would be for him to get the nomination... and then suffer a serious setback just before the election.

Democrats can't afford to even consider a guy with now known serious medical issues.   

Sen. Sanders now knows more about the health of his coronary arteries than most of us. They would have checked every one and probably stented any other obstructions.

The guy got two stents, and his other coronaries are probably looking good. It's a decision he needs to make in consultation with his doctors and presumably his family.

How do we know this isn't an MSM conspiracy to smear Bernie and take him out of the running? Has anyone seen hard evidence that Bernie really had a procedure? I've only seen it in mainstream sources. So until I've seen proof, I can't be certain that this didn't happen.

it's still possible that it never happened.  It's entirely possible that the deep state has taken the real Sanders into custody, to the same place that the real Jeffrey Epstein is still alive.  Nobody has been able to prove to me that my hypothesis is not true.

 Well, one thing we know for sure is that it isn't the secret lunar base since those landings were definitely faked.  Maybe somewhere on the backside of the terrestrial disc?

 The greatest of your wet dreams.  You do know the difference between having a stent implant and a series of bypass surgeries?

 For one thing....what happened to your moniker " Bernie the Millionaire?"

Secondly..........two and a half days in the hospital after having had a heart attack must be some record for brevity.   They build them strong in Vermont'

Thirdly it might have been delayed but his campaign did make the announcement.

When the anointed one practically passed out in front of a crowd and had to be carried to her car by the secret service, her choice of going to her daughters apartment was really telling.  No cameras or press there. Only the most obvious photo opp of a little girl waiting for her to descend to Earth and accept the flowers

If I recall,  my own heart attack and stint in rehab had me out of general circulation for almost a month.

But then I am not from Vermont,  a Socialist or Millionaire

If Bernie is as tough as Ruth Bader Ginsberg, also born in Brooklyn, with her own health challenges, and a few years his senior,he will be with us a long time. I wish him good health.

So do I.

But it is too risky for him to run for president.
