I Need an app

You can do this with existing I phone apps.  Google it.  You can stream music while Google maps GPS is directing you.

Waze also allows integration of streaming services. 

In my car, I'll play music from Spotify/Tidal then switch to Google Maps and keep that open while the music is playing and yes, it dims the sound of the music to give me directions if I have the mute on Maps switched off.

I appreciate your time and insights.  I’m really not a music person so I haven’t checked out the radio scene on mobiles.  My, non-cellular iPad, has the TuneIn app which I’ve recently started listening to.  OTOH my iPhone has never shown a radio app. 

@bub—likewise thanks for your time and thoughts.  Your idea looks like it would be the simplest.  Since both would be from the same pub I’d expect your approach would be the most seamless.

As I said above my iPhone doesn’t ‘seem to have a radio app(I just checked, AGAIN!!!).  I have no idea where they’ve hidden it.

You can download TuneIn to your iPhone. Audacy and iHeart radio are other options. 

I listen to the Mets games on Audacy if I’m not in the car.
