1 1/2 hour ----Parkway south to exit 63. Go to Long Beach Island and turn left on to the Boulevard.
at the bottom of the island is, Holgate. Little or no ambient light.
Moonrise is 8 p.m. so you want to leave 6:15
Forecast for there is clear, so you got an excellent chance.
After the fact but turning left on the boulevard brings you to Barnegat Light - right turn takes you to Holgate.
For future full moons, Liberty State Park is a good vantage point (was heading there last night to take pictures but the turnpike extension was backed up to the airport!) so I went to Eagle Rock Reservation instead - the place was packed with people with a great vantage point of watching the moon rise over the city.

Where would be a good place to take the family for a good experience? We are willing to travel up to an hour or hour and a half. Perhaps a dinner place with moon viewing close by.
